The Lonesome Trail

Directed by Arlette Thomas Fletcher

(116 minutes)

The Lonesome Trail is about a small town in Montana in the 1890’s called Red Springs that frowns on poor homesteaders moving into the territory. Preacher Brent Carson comes to the town and changes the perspective of the town’s people as he convinces a black family drifting through the town to make it their home. This creates an explosion of beliefs and emotions which divides the town among the homesteaders and those that work for the landowner.
